Karachi, Friday, 3rd April 2026 : A productive meeting was held with Chief Secretary Sindh Mr. Asif Haider Shah, CSR Committee head & life Member FPCCI Mr. Siddique Sheikh, President of Indus Hospital & Health Network Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, Ms. Naseem Salahuddin, head of the department infectious disease Indus Hospital & Health Network, PD Rabies Control Program Sindh, Ms. Sumera Hussain, and CSR Activist FPCCI & Ms. Shamsa Jabeen to discuss strategies for dog bite protection and achieving a Rabies-free Pakistan.
The meeting emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to address the pressing issue of dog bites and rabies in the country. Key stakeholders pledged to work together to implement effective measures for dog population control, public awareness, and accessible vaccination and treatment facilities.
“We are committed to working together to protect citizens from dog bites and eliminate rabies in Pakistan,” said Mr. Asif Haider Shah, Chief Secretary Sindh.

Mr. Saqib Fayyaz Maggo ensured every possible cooperation and contribution from Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry regarding Rabies control strategies.
The participants agreed to join forces to create a comprehensive plan, engaging government agencies, healthcare providers, and communities to achieve a rabies-free Pakistan in future.
