Karachi, January 15, 2025 – On the special directions of the Prime Minister, a three-day training program aimed at enhancing the capacity of Customs prosecutors, conducted by the Ministry of Law and Justice in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue, concluded here in Karachi. The first two training sessions under the program were held in Islamabad and Lahore, which also catered to participants from KP and GB. This event marks the final training of the series. The training brought together experts and participants dedicated to strengthening legal practices in customs enforcement.
The training sessions covered various critical topics, providing participants with invaluable knowledge and skills. The program included sessions on trade-based money laundering, offering insights into the intersection of financial crimes and customs activities.
Muhammad Sadiq, Director General Valuation and Chief Collector Exports, Karachi graced the ceremony as Chief Guest. He appreciated the Ministry of Law & Justice for its ownership of the legal fraternity across the country and the Ministry’s efforts in capacity building of prosecutors and investigators working in customs.
In particular, he acknowledged the role of the Federal Minister for Law & Justice in the initiative and his commitment to fostering excellence in legal practice. He also suggested organising similar training programs in the future to enhance the skills and capabilities of legal professionals nationwide.
