KARACHI – Federal Cabinet has paid tribute to Prime Minister for his successful visit to the United States.
The cabinet meeting was held in Islamabad on Thursday, with Prime Minister Imran Khan in chair.
Briefing the media in Karachi about cabinet meeting decisions, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the federal cabinet endorsed ECC decisions and discussed ten point agenda.
The Prime Minister has directed to remove hurdles in granting right to vote to Overseas Pakistanis. The Prime Minister took notice of delay in granting vote of right to overseas Pakistanis. The Prime Minister also directed to bridge gap between employer and employee. She said the wage board committee to give its recommendations in 180 days. She said the Prime Minister envisions to protect media freedom and media workers’ rights.
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said the cabinet also approved addition grant for Pakistan National Shipping Corporation. NEPRA, OGRA, PTA, PPRA and Frequency Allocation Board will be brought under federal cabinet. She said procedure for appointment of Chairman Academy of Letters will be changed. Federal cabinet praised Murad Saeed for improving postal service.
The Prime Minister took the cabinet into confidence about his visit to the United States.
