Chasing a massive 215, Zalmi achieved their highest-ever PSL chase, finishing at 218-5 in 19.1 overs. Michael Bracewell’s unbeaten 35, combined with Aamer Jamal’s 17 not out, steered the team home with five balls to spare. Bracewell was named man-of-the-match for his vital innings.
Openers Mohammad Haris (47) and captain Babar Azam (39) laid a strong foundation, with Abdul Samad (33) and Kusal Mendis (31) keeping Zalmi in contention. Bracewell and Samad then added a blistering 64 runs off 23 balls in a late-innings surge, dramatically reducing the required run rate.
For Rawalpindiz, Yasir Khan’s 83 and Mohammad Rizwan’s 41 powered a formidable 214-run total, but the team’s bowlers struggled to contain Zalmi’s chase. Aamer Jamal, Amad Butt, and Ali Raza were the key wicket-takers.
The match featured some spectacular batting displays, with high-intensity partnerships and power-hitting defining the contest. Bracewell’s calm finishing under pressure ensured Peshawar Zalmi started PSL 11 with a memorable victory.
