In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, illegally detained Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Masarrat Aalam Butt has sought intervention by the UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, on urgent basis to resolve the Kashmir dispute.
In a memorandum sent from India’s infamous Tihar jail on the World Day of Social Justice being observed on Sunday, Masarrat Aalam Butt urged Antonio Guterres to use his good offices to stop genocide by Indian occupation forces in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that all fundamental rights have been snatched from the subjugated people of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, a large number of Iranian students held a protest demonstration in front of the Indian embassy in Tehran against the ban on hijab in schools and colleges in Indian state of Karnataka.
This came as over 58 students in Karnatka were suspended for refusing to remove their hijab.
On the other hand, India’s notorious National Investigation Agency arrested 28 persons during raids at multiple locations in Rajouri, Sopore, Kupwara, Shopian, Badgam and Ganderbal areas.
