London: CEO, Pakistan Britain Business Council, Mr Rashid Aqbal arranged a productive meeting yesterday with His Excellency, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK, alongside Frank Valle of Saudi Airlines. The agenda of meeting focused on developing a strategic framework in key areas proposed by the PBBC. Saudi Airlines has agreed to offer concessionary benefits to PBBC members and their affiliates, including partners, when they travel with the airline. Additionally, plans are underway to gradually increase the number of flights from the UK to Pakistan, given the high demand. In this context, further discussions will be held between PBBC, Saudi Airlines, and Pakistan’s Ministry of Aviation. Meeting discussed the possibility of subsidising air cargo to assist Pakistan’s FMCG exporters, with the aim of boosting the country’s exports. Pakistan Britain Business Council working on promoting and developing Pakistan’s travel and tourism sector by targeting niche markets. This will be a collaborative effort with the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and tour operators in both Pakistan and the UK. PBBC has proposed leading an official trade delegation to Pakistan to explore the country’s tourism potential.
