Pakistan Railways has announced the launch of three special trains from Karachi to Lahore and Rawalpindi to accommodate the high number of travelers during Eid-ul-Fitr. The initiative aims to facilitate passengers and ensure a smoother travel experience amid the holiday rush.
The first Eid special train will depart from Karachi Cantt Station for Lahore at 1:00 PM today (March 26). The second train is scheduled to leave from Karachi City Station to Rawalpindi on March 27 at 8:30 PM. The third and final Eid special train will depart from Karachi Cantt Station to Lahore on March 28 at 9:00 PM.
These special trains comprise 16 coaches, including two AC Business coaches, two AC Standard coaches, ten Economy Class coaches, one Power Van, and one Brake Van. The total capacity across these trains is 1,062 passengers, ensuring that more people can travel conveniently during the festive period.
In addition to operating special trains, Pakistan Railways has also announced a 20 percent discount on fares for all passengers during the three Eid holidays. This discount is aimed at making travel more affordable for those journeying to celebrate Eid with their families.
By launching these special services, Pakistan Railways is working to reduce the strain of increased passenger movement and provide a more comfortable travel experience for the public during Eid-ul-Fitr.
