Islamabad, December 20, 2022: Coaching camp of the Pakistan Baseball Team has been started at the Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad, after the approval of the Pakistan Sports Board, for the preparation to participate in the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup in Islamabad in January.
According to President Pakistan Federation Baseball Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) has given the hosting of the 15th West Asia Baseball Cup to Pakistan.
Talking to media manager Parvez Sheikh, he said that we are thankful to Secretary Sports, Director General, PSB for organizing a one-month camp.
In the camp, players from almost all units of PFB from across the country will receive training under the supervision of expert and experienced senior coaches.
Syed Fakhr Ali Shah said that baseball is a popular sport of Pakistan, but this kind of official patronage and acceptance will take it to great heights. Holding the West Asia Cup in Pakistan will restore the soft image of Pakistan around the world as Qatar is on the rise of fame with the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
Apart from the Indian Baseball Federation, teams from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Palestine, Afghanistan and other countries have already confirmed their participation in this West Asia Cup in Pakistan.
