Pakistan’s security forces have foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, killing eight militants during an intelligence-based operation, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations.

The military said the operation was launched after detecting the presence of militants attempting to cross into Pakistan. All eight individuals were neutralized during the engagement.

According to the statement, the militants were affiliated with an Indian-backed group and had been sent to carry out sabotage activities ???? Pakistan. A significant cache of modern weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site, indicating plans for major terrorist attacks.

The incident has once again raised concerns over border management by the Afghan Taliban authorities. The military emphasized that such infiltration attempts highlight shortcomings in preventing militant groups from using Afghan territory against Pakistan.

The ISPR urged Afghan authorities to fulfill their responsibilities and ensure their soil is not used for hostile activities.

Reaffirming its commitment to national security, the Pakistan Army stated that operations under “Azm-e-Istehkam” will continue unabated, with intensified clearance operations aimed at eliminating terrorism. Security forces reiterated their resolve to defend the country and counter all threats effectively.
