Our Mission is to Promote Economic Prosperity and Self-reliance in women – Naushaba Shahzad

KARACHI – Ms. Naushaba Shahzad President & CEO (A) First Women Bank Ltd. said that our mission is to promote economic prosperity and self reliance in women of Pakistan by transforming the status of women from passive beneficiaries to dynamic agents of change.  She was addressing at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry today.   

Highlighting the role of FWBL in the country she quoted an extract from the Finance Division Government of Pakistan Year Book 2011- 2012 .

“First Women Bank Ltd. has a wider vision than any other commercial bank to cater to women’s economic needs and to encourage them into trade, business, industry and the practice of their professions to promote economic prosperity and self reliance in women of urban and rural areas.”

The Bank products & Services are available to all, irrespective of gender. FWBL credit portfolio is a mix of SME, Corporate  and Consumer.   The Bank has a network of 42   branches  in 24 cities of Pakistan. It has 03 full fledged branches in  leading Universities of Pakistan while has 03 Booths in Women colleges in Quetta, she added.

Earlier Mr. Junaid Esmail Makda President – KCCI and Ms. Durre Shahwar Nisar, Member Managing Committee & Chairperson Women Entrepreneur Subcommittee, KCCI urged the FWBL to   enhance its role  for  the economic development of  country and specially the Women.
