TORINO: – The non-profit association “Fai entrare il Sole nelle case di riposo” (Bring the Sun into Nursing Homes) has gifted some chocolate eggs to the young patients of the oncological Day Hospital at Regina Margherita in Turin: a sweet thought to wish them and their families a peaceful Easter.
This year, accompanying Antonello Cravero, secretary of the Association, was Franco Graglia, vice president of the Piedmont Regional Council. “An appointment that we have had on our calendar for several years now – explained Franco Graglia – and one that I hold dear. Coming here is a great lesson in life: we donate eggs and doves, but the young patients, their families, and the hospital staff give us a very big emotion, full of courage, hope, solidarity, and humanity. We hope to have brought a smile and a moment of carefreeness to all of them.”
“Our heartfelt thanks for the kindness with which they welcomed us – emphasized Secretary Cravero – to the hospital staff, to the health director of Regina Margherita, Dr. Silvana Barbaro, and to the head of the department, Dr. Franca Fagioli. Thanks also to all the confectionery companies that contributed to this donation: Balocco, Maina, Pernigotti, Baratti e Milano, Galup.”
