KARACHI – Nobility seems to be diminishing from political scenario of Pakistan, said Member of National Assembly Sindh, Sabir Qaim Khani (MQM-Pakistan) while addressing the participants of five day electronic media workshop arranged by Women Media Center, Pakistan in collaboration with National Endowment for Democracy.
Member of National Assembly further stated that digital media has expanded and we need to show responsibility by polarity between right and wrong. Adding to this he said that it’s our moral duty to show and speak the whole truth.
While referring to Hooria Amiri, an acclaimed 17 years Pakistani orator, the MNA showed his appreciation for her documentary that was well received all over the world for highlighting the issues faced by residents of Hyderabad and adjoining areas.
The federal government has allocated a huge amount for the betterment of Hyderabad and a bill has been passed to set up a federal level university in Hyderabad, however the problem of acquiring land from Sindh government has yet to be solved, said Qaim Khani.
There were sad incidents of quarrels in the Assemblies. Political differences will remain forever but nobility seems to be diminishing from all political parties. We need to understand that differences are the beauty of democracy and to strengthen this democracy every political worker should show responsibility.
The theme of the workshop was ‘Youth and Digital Media’. The five day workshop started on Saturday, July 3rd and will continue till 7th July.
