Karachi: Newports Institute of Communications & Economics, Karachi organized the HEC Intervarsity Table Tennis Championship Boys Zone G on 16th – 17th February at Sindh Sports Board Complex. 14 different universities of Karachi participated in the event.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan and Mr. Shafeeq Ahmed, the concluding ceremony was chaired by the Chief Guest Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), Hon Consul General of Yemen, and Chairman Baig Group and attended by Guest of Honour Mahmood Ahmed Khan MD Sun Builder & Developer, Co-Chairperson Huma Bukhari as Guest of Honour, Syed Turab Shah Chairman AZB Global Trade & Exhibitions, Mr. Asif Azeem Chairman Karachi Sports Foundation, along with other senior officials.
The event was organized by Ms. Zeerak Fatima Syeda Head of Student Affairs at Newports Institute of Communications and Economics, Karachi, supervised by Mr. Saleem Ahmed Secretary Sindh Table Tennis Association, Coached by Mr. Mohsin. The inauguration ceremony proceeded with a ribbon and cake cutting ceremony and the Chief Guest distributed the certificates to all the participating universities along with medals and trophies to the winner and runner-up teams.
The officials of each participating team were presented with Shields of Participation. Dr. Ikhtiar Baig presented the medals and trophies to the winner team Iqra University Karachi team and runner-up team Institute of Business Administration.
