Bishkek: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday—in an interview with Russian news outlet—stated that negotiations were underway between officials of Pakistan and Russia for sale/purchase of sophisticated weapons.
Rehashing desire for peace in South Asia, PM Khan hoped that his Indian counterpart will respond positively and improve Indo-Pak ties.
The premier once again reiterated that cure to all Indo-Pak issues lies in dialogue only.
“To use army and force for resolving outstanding issues is nothing but insanity”, maintained PM Khan while adding that Indo-Pak tensions will defuse significantly in upcoming months.
Earlier today, PM Imran Khan arrived in Kyrgyzstan to represent Pakistan in the 19th Meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), said a statement issued by the Pakistan Foreign Office.
PM Imran was received by Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev and the Kyrgyz Minister for Health Kosmosbek Sarievich Cholponbaev.
