Karachi, January 21, 2026: The 50th National Snooker Championship 2026 successfully concluded at the NBP Sports Complex in Karachi after nine days of exciting matches, held from January 13 to 21, 2026. Top players from across Pakistan competed in this special golden jubilee event.
In the final match, Muhammad Asif of NBP defeated Rana Irfan of Punjab 6-3 to win the championship title.
Speaking at the event, Rehmat Ali Hasnie, President and CEO, National Bank of Pakistan, spoke about NBP’s longstanding support for sports in Pakistan.
“NBP is proud to host and support the 50th National Snooker Championship. Snooker has brought international recognition to Pakistan, and events like this help identify and encourage new talent while honoring our sports heritage,” he said.
Rehmat Ali Hasnie later presented the winner’s trophy and prize to Muhammad Asif and awarded the runner-up prize to Rana Irfan.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA) and NBP. Those present included Abdul Qadir Memon, President PBSA; Alamgir A. Shaikh, Past President PBSA; Naveed Kapadia, Secretary PBSA and Tournament Director; Sher Muhammad, SVP and Wing Head Sports Wing NBP; Faisal Nasir Chachar, Wing Head SMD NBP; and M. Farhan Rafique, Sectional Head Sports Management NBP.
During the ceremony, Abdul Qadir Memon presented a memento to Mr. Rehmat Ali Hasnie in appreciation of NBP’s continued support for snooker. The event ended on a positive note, celebrating sportsmanship, excellence, and NBP’s important role in the development of snooker in Pakistan.
