Karachi (Sports Reporter): In the MM Baig Inter-Club Cricket Tournament 2025, organized under the auspices of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi Zone Seven, Mazhar Gymkhana Cricket Club defeated Rangers Cricket Club by 78 runs in a match played yesterday at Asifabad Cricket Ground, thereby qualifying for the next round.
Batting first, Mazhar Gymkhana Cricket Club scored 233 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 29.3 overs. Asif Ali top-scored with 63 runs, while Ahshir Mahmood contributed 49 and Ehsanullah added 37 runs. For Rangers Cricket Club, Minhaj and Syed Rehan claimed three wickets each.
In reply, Rangers Cricket Club were bowled out for 155 runs in 26.4 overs. Usman bin Rashid and Ahshir Mahmood delivered impressive bowling performances, taking four wickets each.
Earlier in the match, Asif Ali, Ahshir Mahmood and Ehsanullah played key roles with the bat for Mazhar Gymkhana Cricket Club, while Fayyaz and Khurram Ali showed resistance with notable batting efforts for Rangers Cricket Club.
