Meezan Bank Partners with Pakistan International Airlines to Facilitate Customer Convenience

Karachi, 14th January: Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s premier Islamic bank and the country’s first and largest Islamic financial bank, has entered into a partnership with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to provide added convenience and travel-related benefits for Meezan Bank Debit Cardholders.

The agreement was signed in Karachi by Dr. Syed Amir Ali, President & Chief Executive Officer, Meezan Bank, and Mr. Nousherwan Adil, Chief Commercial Officer, Pakistan International Airlines, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. Representing Meezan Bank were Mr. Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head – Consumer Finance; Mr. Rahil Sayani, Head of Acquiring, Loyalty & Alliances; and Mr. Abid Malik, Head of Cards, Unsecured Financing & New Initiatives, while representing PIA were Mr. S. M. Fahim, General Manager Digital Marketing, and Mr. Afesh Akhter, Manager Alliances.

Under this partnership, Meezan Bank Debit Cardholders will be able to book flights on Pakistan International Airlines using their Meezan Bank Debit Cards and enjoy exclusive discounts, providing a seamless and convenient payment experience. The collaboration reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to enhancing customer facilitation through strategic alliances and innovative banking solutions.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Syed Amir Ali stated: “This partnership aligns with Meezan Bank’s focus on providing efficient, Shariah-compliant banking solutions while enhancing convenience for our customers. Collaborations with leading organizations such as Pakistan International Airlines support our objective of strengthening payment infrastructure, expanding cross-channel acceptance, improving service accessibility, and delivering a more seamless customer experience.”

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Nousherwan Adil, Chief Commercial Officer, Pakistan International Airlines, said: “This partnership with Meezan Bank demonstrates PIA’s commitment to enhancing customer convenience and  providing seamless travel experiences. While we continue to collaborate with multiple financial institutions, this initiative allows Meezan Bank Debit Cardholders to enjoy added benefits and a smoother booking experience with PIA.”
