KARACHI – Online English Club and Syeda Zuha Ali Gilani from Literacy Department of Youth Parliament Organized a workshop “Speak English with Confidence”, September 7th, 2019 — The ability to express an opinion in other language is important, for students and working people. The ability to communicate a message, sell an idea, or paint a vision is a critical skill for students who want to create an impact on the world. By lack of confidence can cause misunderstanding and misperceptions to the audience. Therefore, we need the training to improve our skills and capabilities in expressing an opinion, especially in English.
“Speak English with Confidence” was held on September 7th 2019 at Youth Parliament Head Office Karachi under the supervision of Founder President Youth Parliament Rizwan Jaffer and hosted by Syed Farooq Shah, with the theme “Speak Up Your Mind” Through several activities in this “Speak English with Confidence” workshop, the participants were trained to be brave and express their opinion in public. The first activity was Mini-Workshop which aimed to provide a lesson about how to express opinion in good ways. The speakers of this session were

The second activity was“Brace Yourself, It’s Your Turn!”. In this movement, members were given Words identified with Social Life and offer their thoughts before different members. After the members ended their turn, they got remarks about their substance and how they convey their thoughts.
The purpose of this activity was to test the concentration of participants and increase their vocabulary. Expressing an opinion is not just about delivering what we want to say. It also needs a proper selection of words, confidence, and manner. After joining Online English Club, we hope all participants could get benefit and experiences to express their opinion better.
