Globally to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus, many developed countries like China, America, used lock down strategy, but Pakistan can’t afford Covid-19 pandemic restrictions as already poverty in Pakistan is at peak and mostly daily wages workers are affected by these restrictions as they have no other source of income to fulfill their basic needs of themselves and their families and already many people lose their jobs due to this deadly pandemic.

Due to lock down, mostly daily wages workers / labors, small shop keepers who bear their day to day expenses, affected and facing many problems, as if they can’t work than how could they pay their shop rents,  how could they pay their utilities expenses, and how could they bear their house holds expenses.

Previously government of Pakistan and National Command and Cooperation Centre (NCOC) effectively control the different waves of COVID-19 by implementing smart lock down and play an effective role to curb the spread of virus by giving necessary awareness through all mediums regarding vaccinations, precautions and urge to follow the health expert prescribes SOP’s and taken necessary measures to minimize the affects of smart lock down and tried safe daily wages workers from it’s affects.

In whole Pakistan cases of COVID-19 are increasing and also the ration of deaths is increasing but as per our honorable Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan can not afford complete lock down as Pakistan economy is already struggling and also poverty and unemployment rate is on peak, In this situation if complete lock down impose, so it will difficult for Pakistan economy and its people to survive. Prime Minister Imran khan also urge all provincial government’s to follow the smart lock down policy as it’s the best solution to curb the spread of virus and also to run our economy smoothly.

But still Federal Government and Sindh Government are not on one page as Federal Government is against the complete lock down but Sindh Government imposed again imposed lock down and close all the markets / malls, but Karachi tajirs / traders are very disappointed with government decision and said that complete lock down, closure of markets / malls is not the solution and appealed Sindh Government to not impose complete lock down and give permission to traders, so they easily continue their work and traders will make sure that their staff will be follow complete SOP’s.

Although Sindh Government taking necessary steps to combating the rise of virus and to safe the lives of its people and also giving awareness to people to get themselves and their family members vaccinated and also Sindh Government make operationalize 24/7 vaccination centres to safeguard the people from this deadlier virus.
