Karachi (June 20, 2023) Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has said that although the economic situation in Pakistan is not much better and at the moment we are suffering from economic and political instability while we are also directly facing climate change but we are sure. That the country’s economic conditions will improve soon, we have to face the challenges with joint efforts, the budget presented by the federal government is reasonable in the current situation, the business community should give us their suggestions for the improvement of the economy so that their suggestions will be taken into consideration. Important steps can be taken for the sectors of trade and industry. Governor Sindh expressed these views in a meeting with the delegation of the business community under the leadership of Lion Malik Khuda Baksh, the Internationalal Leader of Lions Club International and Leaders of the United Business Group at the Governor House yesterday. Meanwhile, the delegation included Chairman UBG Sindh Region Lion Khalid Tawab, PCC Lion Ayesha Malik GAT Area Leader, Deputy Chief Patron KATI, Zubair Chhaya, Former Vice President FPCCI Ikram Rajput and Farzana Burney were also present in the meeting, the activities of the Lions Club International and the current business scenario were also discussed.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori said that the Lions Club is engaged in the service of God’s creation and the welfare services of the Lions Club International are unparalleled in Pakistan. Malik Khuda Baksh and his team have built hundreds of houses for the flood-affected areas and given them to the victims and also have worked for Cornia Grafting of blind people which is a great services.
Lion Malik Khuda Baksh told the Governor Sindh that the Lions Club is also leading in the welfare works in Pakistan and 248 houses were built in one year in the flood affected areas and given to the victims, while the Lions in the welfare works. We also worked during earthquake in Pakistan and rebuilt 177 houses in the Anwar Sharif Village Muzaffarabad and hnd over to the victims in the presence of International & Pakistani Leadership, the club is playing its role in Pakistan on a regular basis.
Malik Khuda Baksh said that the president of Karachi New MJF Lions Club was our late leader SM Munir and now after his death, his son SM Tanveer has been elected as the president of the club and taken over charge as a Club President in the Honoring Ceremony was held on 2nd June 2023 at Marriot Hotel Karachi.
Malik Khuda Baksh while appreciating the measures taken by Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif to improve the economic situation of the country, efforts to promote exports, said that collective efforts are needed to improve the economic situation of the country, Pakistan has honored us. And gave fame and better position and now it is the duty of all of us to play our role in the strength and prosperity of Pakistan.
UBG Sindh Region Chairman Lion Khalid Tawab said that the United Business under the leadership of SM Tanveer, Shehzad Ali Malik and Zubair Tufail. The group is engaged in serving the business community across Pakistan while our Chief Patron SM Tanveer, who is also a senior minister in the Punjab Caretaker Government, is visiting the country and getting awareness about the problems of the business community.
Lion aKhalid Tawab said that our leader S. M Munir used to take everyone along while SM Tanveer is also the idol of his father and he bears the pain of the business community.
