Karachi, The leadership team led by Dr. Stephan Timmermann, Group CEO of KSB Company, Germany expressed their appreciation towards multiple high profile community outreach programs run by Pakistan Eye Bank Society in Pakistan.
In a recent joint meeting held in Germany, Qazi Sajid Ali, President, PEBS elaborated on medical services provided by PEBS to the underprivileged class of society. PEBS has been actively advocating to eradicate blindness since past six decades and strives to improve Eye Health specially amongst school-going children, as early detection of Eye disorders help in sight saving. School Eye Clinics are being held since 2007 wherein thousands of children received Eye treatment absolutely free of cost. The project has now been adopted by Rotary Club of Heidelberg-Schloss since May 2025. Around 60000 children have benefitted from free eye screening performed at school sites by a well-qualified team specialized in this task.
Qazi Sajid Ali presented a detailed orientation of School Eye Clinic Project to KSB team. “We are amazed to see the enormous scope of work and the positive impact it will create for children who receive Eye assessments. PEBS is presenting a gift of sight to each child who is screened under this project.” commented Dr. Timmerman
