The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a relief package to support underprivileged families during Ramazan. As part of the initiative, each eligible family will receive Rs. 10,000 to help ease financial burdens during the holy month.
The aid package was approved during a provincial cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, where several other key initiatives were also sanctioned. Among them, the government decided to revive the Youth Endowment Fund with a Rs. 100 million grant and approved an increase in the fixed pay for the chairman and members of the FATA Tribunal.
Additionally, Rs. 1212.9 million has been allocated for the treatment of hemophilia patients in the province. The cabinet also established a debt management fund to settle liabilities, with an initial deposit of Rs. 30 billion. Furthermore, Rs. 80 million was approved for the Cadet College in Mamad Gat (Mohmand).
During the meeting, officials reviewed the province’s financial performance, highlighting a record 49% increase in revenue over the past year and a budget surplus of Rs. 169 billion.
