Karachi, Jan, 5, 2026 — On receiving numerous complaints from member industries regarding no power supply for 10-15 days, the Association invited Sadia Dada (Chief Distribution, Marketing & Communication Officer), K-Electric to the Association for meeting with affected members. She was accompanied by other high officials of K-Electric.
President Ahmed Azeem Alvi informed the KE officials that Industries have been without power supply for two weeks and they don’t have alternate power supply arrangements for such a long time which is causing much hardship and massive losses to industries.
Detailed discussions took place in the meeting with Members of the Association, wherein they shared their grievances at length with the KE Officials. The conclusion was that the problem currently being faced by the industries is not due to technical faults, but rather due to legal action against massive power theft from two specific Industrial Feeders. As a result, all industries as well as K-Electric is facing problem.
KE officials updated that they are in constant touch with Law Enforcement Agencies for amicable resolution and removal of the aforementioned system for good so that industrial supply can be resumed without delay.
Ms. Sadia Dada also requested the Association and the affected Members to extend support and assured S.I.T.E. Association of Industry to restore power supply of all affected industries by close of business on 5th January.
Chief Coordinator Saleem Parekh stressed the K-Electric to compensate losses suffered by the affected industries by passing on some benefit from the amount saved on account of electricity theft as the industries have already suffered huge financial and production losses during the past two weeks and are facing tough time.
