KARACHI – The leadership of the Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) has congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan on his successful visit to China and applauded his diplomatic efforts to strengthen Pak-China trade relations. In a statement Patron in Chief of KATI SM Muneer, President Sheikh Umer Rehan, Senior Vice President Mohammad Ikram Rajput and Vice President Syed Wajid Hussain expressed hopes PM Khan recent visit to China will enhance the economic ties of both country and pace of work on CPEC.
SM Muneer said that PM Khan timely visited the friendly country which would certainly play a key role to put our economy on the fast track. He was of the view that the establishment of CPEC development authority under the supervision of PM office will expedite work on CPEC and it will impact positively on both countries’ economies. He applauded the initiatives taken by PM Khan for the promotion of Chinese investment in the industrial sector of Pakistan. SM Muneer said that the entire Pakistani nation is thankful to the Chinese President Xi Jinping for his unconditional support to Pakistan especially on the Kashmir issue.
President KATI Sheikh Umer Rehan said that PM Khan has put the economy on the priority of his foreign policy which was long needed to fight back the economic woes. “Business community is very much hope these efforts would bring positive changes in economic conditions” he added. Umer Rehan said that it was learned that trade agreement between both countries also came into the discussion and PM Khan is continuously working to maintain trade balance between both countries. He said we see as a step forward towards enhancement of Pakistan’s exports. He also showed hope that PM Khan’s recent visit to China will also bring foreign investment to the industrial sector of the country which would ultimately provide the conditions needed for economic prosperity and employment opportunities.
