KARACHI: A high-level delegation of the Houston Karachi Sister City Association (HKSCA) held a meeting with United States Consul General in Karachi, Charles Goodman, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between Karachi and Houston across multiple sectors.

The delegation, led by HKSCA President Muhammad Saeed Sheikh, included Karachi Chapter President Kashif Ghayas and Executive Committee Member Muhammad Yasir. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in trade, education, cultural exchange, and people-to-people connectivity between the two sister cities.
During the meeting, Consul General Goodman hosted a luncheon in honor of the delegation at his residence, which was attended by senior officials including the Deputy Consul General as well as heads of the Economic Development and Public Affairs sections of the U.S. Consulate in Karachi.
The HKSCA delegation briefed the participants on the association’s history, objectives, and ongoing humanitarian and exchange initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral engagement. Both sides acknowledged the importance of sustained institutional cooperation in promoting subnational diplomacy.
Discussions also included proposals for increased investment facilitation and the potential establishment of a Pakistan–U.S. Business and Investment Forum to further encourage trade linkages and private sector engagement.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Saeed Sheikh presented the official historical City Seal of Houston to Consul General Charles Goodman on behalf of the Mayor of Houston as a gesture of goodwill.
The meeting was described as constructive, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening ties between Karachi and Houston through long-term collaboration and strategic partnerships.
