Special Advisor to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan, on Thursday stated that International Monetary Fund (IMF) has endorsed narrative of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan that state-institutions have been weakened by past governments.
Addressing a ceremony here in the federal capital, Awan apprised that Senate was one of the most important state-institution of Pakistan.
“Opposition wants to run Senate in accord with their wishes”, stated Awan while inquiring that why those who brought Sadiq Sanjrani were trying to oust him.
“In the past, state-institutions were weakened under premeditated strategy and for that purpose, democracy had been used as shield”, Awan apprised attendants.
She added that IMF had held Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party accountable for ongoing economic quagmire.
