We are constrained to say that FPCCI is passing through the worst period of its history which is talk of the town causing a great deal of concern and anxiety in business circle.
The members of UBG on the Executive Committee of FPCCI 2021 have expressed their dissatisfaction and displeasure on the dwindling and substandard performance and activities of FPCCI particularly for the last six months defaming the repute of FPCCI at nation and international level.
While reviewing the activities it is regretted that FPCCI which is the apex body of the private sector representing all trade bodies across Pakistan miserably failed to perform and organise even its regular and annual actives. The FPCCI Export Awards and Achievement Awards ceremonies are pending for the last two years causing a great deal of frustration and disappointment amongst the exporters and the business community who struggled hard in the period of pandemic of COVID and their efforts needed to be recognized and encouraged.
It is also being observed that culture of nepotism and favouritism prevailing to their peak in FPCCI particularly in appointments of coordinators of specialized standing committees on different subjects. The unlawful present regime in FPCCI has also ruined the Business councils with different countries and Fpcci affiliation with regional and confederation chambers. It is regretted that FPCCI lost the opportunity to have office bearers seat in ICCIA, CACCI, SBC etc.
FPCCI did not call any meeting or conduct any seminar/conference on pre-budget and post budget sessions, due to which a consolidated views and proposals of the private sector could not come forth for presentation to government for consideration.
The unprofessional approach of illegitimate President of fpcci has done nothing for SME sector and women entrepreneurs who are on the priority list of the government in economic activities.
Important Departments of FPCCI such as R&D , Fairs and Exhibition, International Affairs, Delegations, Audit and Finance, etc which used to be very active, have become dormant due to lethargic and unprofessional approach by the illegal person occupied the office of President FPCCI.
The financial resources of FPCCI are confined to only rental income while a drastic deficiency being observed in other financial resources.
