Hasan Bakshi elected new Chairman of ABAD

KARACHI: A leading builder Muhammad Hassan Bakshi was elected Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) unanimously for the term of 2018-2019 here on Saturday, while Anwar Dawood OK, Abdul Kareem Adhia and  Ibraheem Adhia were also elected as Senior Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman and Chairman Southern Region of the organization respectively. S M Imran was elected as Chairman Northern Region and Raheel Iqbal was elected as Vice Chairman Sub-Region Hyderabad.

The election of new office-bearers of the ABAD was held during the Annual General Meeting of the ABAD at ABADA House, Karachi and Lahore simultaneously. The meeting was attended by a large number of members of the organization. The meeting unanimously approved all new members of the Central Executive Committee and Regional Executive Committee from Allied Penal, who were elected unopposed. The new office-bearers of the ABAD will take charge of their offices from 1st October, 2018.

Newly elected Chairman Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, after the election, said that he was grateful to all members of the ABAD for electing new team of the ABAD unanimously. He told that he will work tirelessly to resolve problems of members and for the betterment of the ABAD without any discrimination and will try his best to use all available resources for the development of construction industry in Pakistan. He was hopeful that the unity shown by members of ABAD for the election of new office-bearers will prevail forever.

Newly elected Senior Vice Chairman Anwar Dawood OK, Vice Chairman  Abdul Kareem Adhia and Chairman Southern Region Ibraheem Habib also thanked all members for their support and said that they will leave no stone unturned to solve problems of members of ABAD.

Outgoing Chairman ABAD Mohammad Arif Yousuf Jeeva said that during his term the ABAD has experienced a number of turbulences including property valuation, FBR taxation and last but not least ban on construction of high-rise and multi-story buildings. But, with the grace of Allah the Almighty, we were able to tackle these issues and I hope that much of them will be solved in near future as we have put in place a strong foundation on legal grounds.

He hoped that the team of ABAD under Chairman  Muhammad Hassan Bakshi will work hard for the solution of problems and issues of members of the organization. Not only that but I will standby them always, he added.

Outgoing Senior Vice Chairman Fyaz Ilias and Chairman Southern Region Altaf Tai also welcomed new office-bearers and assured them of all possible support for running affairs of the ABAD and for the betterment of construction industry.

 

Other members Abdul Kareem Adhia, Aqeel Ilyas, Asif Smsum, M.Altaf Sattar Kantawala, M.Anwr Dawood OK, M Junaid Ashraf Taloo, M.Rizwan Adhia,Malik Irshad Ali, Muhamad Ejaz, Muhammad Hanif Gohar, Muhammad Haroon Karim, Muhammad Hassan Bakshi,Noman Tabani, Suffian Adhia, Dr. Talha Farooqui, Muhammad Sadiq Baloch and Syed Khursheed  were elected as membrs of Central Executive Committee. Anwr Ahmed, Ibrahim S Habib, Muhammad Ali Taufique, Rameez Qasim Gaziani, Usman Khanani, Engr. Danish Bin Rauf,Ashfaq Younus Shaikhani, Ghias-ur-Rehman, Imran Wahab, Mansoor Aziz, Tariq Aziz and Zahid were elected as members of Regional Executive Committee South and Gohar Ejaz, Engr.M.Akbar Sheikh, Raza Kuli Khan Khattak, Asif Kamal and Sheraz J. Monnoo elected as membrs of Regional Executive Committee North. Ejaz Ahmed Qazi, Muhammad Kashif and Raheel Iqal were elected as members of Regional Executive Committee Sub-Region Hyderabad.
