Former judge of the Supreme Court, Justice (R) Maqbool Baqir says that the Supreme Court is not just the name of the Chief Justice, there should be a full court on matters related to Article 63A, these are sensitive constitutional issues and the full court is the best solution.
A former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and three recently retired former judges have also called for the creation of a full court in view of the constitutional legal and political situation and cases arising from the interpretation of Article 63A of the Constitution. .

The former Chief Justice and 2 recently retired judges, on the condition of not revealing their names, said that the full court is the only solution to this issue, and it has destroyed the dignity of the judiciary. On the other hand, talking to Geo News, Justice (Rtd) Maqbool Baqir said that the disaster of rewriting the constitution has started, the bench of specific judges is destructive for the judiciary on every issue.
Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir said that hearing cases by a specific bench is harmful to the impartiality of the judiciary. I don’t understand what will be the harm done by the formation of a full court.
He said that if the full court hears an important and sensitive constitutional matter, a balanced judicial order will come out, revision of Article 63 A of the Constitution and related cases should be heard by the full court together.
