Karachi, September 19, 2025: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) Central Standing Committee on Women Empowerment and Development, convened by Ms. Farah Javed, held a meeting at the FPCCI Head Office, Sardar Yaseen Malik B2 Federation House, Karachi.

Convener Farah Javed welcomed the members and highlighted the importance of empowering women through skill development and entrepreneurship. The meeting focused on addressing the key challenges faced by women and devising strategies to create opportunities for them in various fields.

Deputy Convener Shazia Mateen, along with members including Javed Iqbal Mirza, Kausar Aslam, Aslam Khaliq, Dr. Razi Younus, Saima Naqi, Fatima Paracha, Syed Turab Shah, Muddasir Alam, Bilal Ali, Salman, and others attended the session.

Speaking on the occasion, Farah Javed said, “Our mission is to support women by equipping them with skills that enable them to start businesses and earn sustainable livelihoods. We are committed to continuing our efforts and extending maximum support to skilled women.”

She further announced the establishment of free training centers for women, where courses such as computer embroidery, computer literacy, beautician training, and stitching/embroidery will be offered. These centers will enable women to learn practical skills, become self-reliant, and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
The committee also resolved to identify specific areas where women are in urgent need of skill development, with the objective of setting up training centers in those regions to ensure inclusive empowerment.
