Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) convened its 3rd Environment Committee meeting, chaired by Dr. Viqar. The event marked a milestone in fostering dialogue and collaboration on sustainable practices within the business community.
Expertly moderated by Dr. Viqar Husain, the Convenor of the Environment Committee, the meeting provided a platform for dynamic discussions and collaborative efforts toward a greener and more sustainable future.
Eng. Dr. Muhammad Faisla Khan, Chairman and Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Hamdard University, Karachi, delivered a compelling presentation on the intersection of technology and environmental sustainability, emphasizing IoT’s pivotal role in monitoring and managing environmental factors.
Eng. Dr. Syed Asad Ali, Chairman and Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Hamdard University, Karachi, an esteemed speaker on biogas, shared insights on its potential as a clean and renewable energy source, emphasizing its positive impact on both the environment and the economy.
Dr. Ambreen, an expert in solid waste management, presented a comprehensive overview of innovative solutions, showcasing a path toward a more sustainable future. The meeting facilitated engaging discussions and knowledge exchange among industry leaders, policymakers, and experts committed to promoting environmentally friendly practices. FPCCI remains dedicated to fostering a culture of sustainability within the business community, as evidenced by this meeting.
The meeting provided an opportunity for discussion and sharing knowledge among industrialists, policy makers and experts to promote eco-friendly practices. Participants of the meeting including Engr. Pervez Sadiq, industrial consultant, Dr. Ghulam Murtaza, Regional Director,PCRWR, Karachi, Prof.Dr. Samina Khalid, University of Karachi and Mr. Wimal Minruwan nfrom Sri Lankan Consulate Karachi also shared their observations and gave recommendations.
