KARACHI – ISLAMABAD – First Lady Samina Alvi has stressed the need for the empowerment of the women through Information Technology to enable them to meet their financial needs by working at home.
Speaking at a laptop distribution ceremony in Karachi on Sunday, she said that the world has become a global village and the Information Technology has provided a deluge of opportunities to the people.

Samina Alvi said that the women were the fifty percent of the total population of the country and if they would sit at home then how the country would progress.
