Karachi: If government takes concrete steps to create a network of industries in the country, to bring
expertise in the IT sector, to promote modern science and technology and to make the future of the
youth bright, this country will shine. Under the vision of Pakistan Business Group, the young generation
should benefit from their experience by bringing together all the experts in technology from all over the
world. These sentiments were expressed by Faraz-ur-Rehman, Founder President of Pakistan Business
Group Organization and President of KATI, while addressing the business community at the dinner given
in his honor by Punjab Chapter Chairman SM Zun Norain. The chief guests in the ceremony was the
Caretaker Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed, Presidential candidate for FPCCI of UBG
Atif Ikram, General Secretary Zafar Bakhtawari, Chairman of PBG Islamabad Wing Moeez Sial, Abdul
Wahab Edhi, Zara Hayat, Nadeem Sheikh and other industrialists and dignitaries were also present.
Faraz-ur-Rehman said that it is a fact that Pakistan is suffering from economic problems, but it does not
mean that Pakistan will become a victim of bankruptcy like Sri Lanka. Allah Almighty has blessed
Pakistan with immense natural resources. Faraz-ur-Rehman further said that due to the current state of
the country and political instability, the Pakistani economy is facing threats and challenges. To separate
all political and economic risks one has to go to the Charter of Economy. He said that making it easy to
do business and solving the problems faced by domestic industries should be the first priority of the
government. The founder of PBGO and president of KATI further said that the government should give
all possible support to the business community so that the industries get a boost and the country can
develop economically. He said that the industries and industrialists have been victims of the financial
and economic crisis and the most affected are SME industries, while the industrial activities have been
badly affected due to the recent political tension and instability in the country.
Faraz-ur-Rehman further said that for industrial development and increase in productivity, it is
necessary to solve the problems of industries, improve basic infrastructure and reduce production costs
while ensuring uninterrupted supply of gas, electricity and water to industries and trade. Special
attention should be given to the problems faced by the industries. Founder President Faraz-ur-Rehman
said that the Pakistani nation, especially the politicians of Pakistan, understand the importance of
Pakistan and put the interests of the country first for the development and development of Pakistan.
On this occasion, Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs Aneeq Ahmed said that Faraz-ur-Rehman was
elected as the President of KATI, chosen by the late SM Munir, and following in his footsteps, he served
PBG and KATI industrialists, trying to solve the problems of the industrialists by taking up the burden of
service. The caretaker minister said that the country will develop only by providing opportunities to the
business community. In these circumstances, significant foreign exchange can be earned by promoting
the IT industry through industrialization and the use of modern technology. He said that the first priority
of the caretaker government is focused on fixing the economy.
On this occasion, UBG General Secretary Zafar Bakhtavari paid tribute to the services of KATI President
Faraz-ur-Rehman and said that he is continuing efforts to unite the industrialists by using his leadership
