CHITRAL: Residents of different villages of Chitral Town, were facing great hardships is low voltage of electricity and the repeated damaging of transformers were facing great problems. To resolve the issue, former Member National Assembly Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali distributed transformers and electric poles worth Rs 80.5 million from his discretionary fund. In this regard, a ceremony was also held in Grid Station Judilash, in which members of Jamaat -e -Islami and people from the villages participated in large numbers. Former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali, said that in the National Assembly he played a key role in the implementation of the interest free system. In addition, I have approved billions of rupees for construction of roads, transformers, poles, and other development works in Chitral areas he added. He said that the nation trusted me and I did not disappointed them nor damaged their confidence. He said that if I had the opportunity to serve again, I would serve the nation vigorously.
“I have increased the punishment of the perpetrators of blasphemy law from the National Assembly,” he said. He said that I was offered million of rupees as a commission but I refused it. He said that Jamaat -e -Islami would not contest in election as ally with any other party in the future, but there could be talks on the seat adjustment he said. He said that that he have approved 6 feeders including Kisu, Broz, Avun, Shashi Koh, Arundo, Ashriyat, etc. Which have been approved and the project will be completed at a cost of Rs 4 billion. He said that I have taken Rs 1.5 billion from the government in terms of electricity. “I didn’t even get the fund, but I approached the court and after going to court, I succeeded in taking my right,” he said.
Talking to our correspondent , Abdul Akbar Chitrali said that there was a lot of electricity shortage or low voltage in the Town area when electricity was being delivered to Chitral Town. People were forced to stay in the dark for weeks due to damaging or technical fault in transformer. Now, with my efforts, I earmarked Rs 80.5 million from my discretionary fund for solving this problem. He said that at present 10 Transformers of 100 KV, 9 of 50 KV and one of 25 KV transformers are distributing among the people of Town area, as well as two hundred and fifty small poles and 60 large poles, are being distributed among the people. This will solve the issue of low voltage in Chitral.
On this occasion, people from different villages also expressed their happiness that their transformer was repeatedly out of order in past and they often live in darkness now their frustration will be ended. A large number of people attended the ceremony, which later on ended with the prayer words of Maulana Jamshed. The people of the area had brought vehicles with them with great enthusiasm on this occasion, who were seen loading these transformers and electric pools in the vehicles.
