Economic stability is essential for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. No country can develop unless basic facilities are provided to the traders, industrialists, and Business Community there. These views were expressed by the Faraz-ur-Rehman Chairman Standing Committee on Ports & Shipping Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) /Former Senior Vice President KATI while talking to the media.
He said that economic stability could not be established unless facilities were provided to traders and industrialists and their problems were addressed, adding that transparency and simplification in the tax system were essential. Pakistani Businessmen and Industrialists have given priority to the greater national interest in all the times facing the country and have played an unforgettable and historic role in the country’s economic development despite all the problems, difficulties, and obstacles.
He said that the solution to long-standing problems of traders and industrialists in Karachi, the largest and most densely populated city of the country has now become inevitable as the business community and the economic stability of the country are inseparable. Karachi is the economic hub; here industrialists are seeking water, electricity, and gas that need to be solved problems.
In the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation where everyone’s situation is bad, industries are also facing difficulties. In such cases, relief has to be provided by Govt. of Pakistan. The government has to formulate a clear strategy in consultation with all the representatives.
