Karachi: 22July 2025 : Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner in Karachi S.M. Mahbubul Alam paid an official visit to Larkana Division and meets the eminent businesspersons and office bearers of the Larkana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) during 17-20 July 2025. The President, Senior Vice President, Vice Presidents, Secretary and other office bearers of the LCCI welcome the Bangladesh envoy.Bangladesh envoy had meetings and interactions with the Commissioner Larkana, the eminent journalists of the Larkana Press Club, and Officials and cultural activities of Arts Council of Pakistan Larkano and cultural department Larkano. He also visited GarhiKhudaBakhsh Mausoleum and MohenjoDaro and interacted with the local administrations of RatoDero and Dokri of Larkana division. 

The Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh highlighted the trade, investment and business potential between Bangladesh and Pakistan. He focused on the upcoming ‘3rdMade in Pakistan Exhibition’ in Bangladesh during September 2025 and ‘Leather & Leather products Exhibition’ during November 2025 in Bangladesh. He warmly invited trade and business delegation to Bangladesh. Highlighting the diversity of export baskets of Bangladesh he requested the potential importers from Pakistan to import from Bangladesh. He also invited trade delegation to participate at the Dhaka International Trade Fair to be held in January 2026. He expressed his optimism that the bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Pakistan would reach the mark of one billion US dollars in near future.Bangladesh envoy elaborated the foreign investment friendly policies of Bangladesh and invited the potential entrepreneurs and investors from Pakistan to invest in Bangladesh. He also mentioned that Bangladesh would host a single country exhibition soon in Pakistan for the promotion of Bangladesh productsin Pakistan.

Deputy High Commissioner also mentioned that the direct flights between Bangladesh and Pakistan would commence soon and contribute in promotion of trade & commerce, people-to-people contacts and cultural cooperation between the two countries.He further added that direct shipping is already in operation between Chittagong Port of Bangladesh and Karachi port in Pakistan.
The Business leaders, eminent journalists and the other dignitaries including cultural activists also highlighted on the importance of deeper cooperation in all the areas of bilateral relations.They stressed on the exploring of new areas of export and import between the two SAARC countries.The Larkana Chamber and the eminent business persons expressed their interest to send business delegations to Bangladesh.

Deputy High Commissioner and the other dignitaries at the Larkana Press club and Arts Council of Pakistan in Larkana also emphasized on the strengthening cultural cooperation, promotion of tourism, cooperation in science, education and research, and deepening the people-to-people contacts between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Bangladeshi diplomat invited trade delegation, cultural troupes and media delegation to Bangladesh. Bangladesh Mission in Karachi would ensure priority visas for all the delegations, he assured.
