KARACHI – Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig Former SVP FPCCI congratulated Chairman FBR Javed Ghani and Member IR Operations Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed and his team for surpassing revenue target reaching Rs. 475 billion in March 2021, an increase of 8.2% which is a great achievement during corona pandemic. Prime Minister in his tweet also commended FBR efforts to collect record Rs. 3380 billion during nine months July 2020 to March 2021 which is 10% higher than last year.
Dr. Baig while speaking to Member IR Dr. Ashfaq, lauded increased disbursement of sales tax refund to Rs. 177 billion as compared to Rs. 102 billion last year, which will help exporters to improve their cash flow. However he requested FBR to remove some anomalies of sales tax refund of small commercial exporters under FASTER system which will help to increase our exports.
