KARACHI – Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig former SVP FPCCI & Secretary Information United Business Group (UBG) Pakistan congratulated Dr. Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed on his appointment as member UN Tax Committee by Secretary General United National Antonio Guterres among 25 tax experts around the world for the year 2021 to 2025.
Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed is serving as Member Inland Revenue Operations FBR, instrumental in tax reforms particularly FASTER system for sale tax refunds and has successfully achieved all revenue targets of FBR.
Dr. Baig said, it’s a great honor for Pakistan that Dr. Ashfaq has been appointed in the distinguished group of tax experts around the world to work on international cooperation in tax matters and to prevent double and multiple taxation which will help to broaden tax base.
