The dollar continues to soar in the interbank market and one dollar has become more than 202 rupees 75 paise. The rupee continues to depreciate in the country due to the negative effects of delay in IMF loan recovery.
In the open market today, the dollar has risen by Rs 4 to Rs 205.
The dollar had gained Rs 2.55 against the rupee yesterday, while the euro had risen by Rs 2.50 and the pound by Rs 4.50.
According to a report released by the Forex Association on Monday, the buying rate of dollar in the interbank market increased by Rs 2.25 from Rs 198.15 to Rs 200.40 and the selling price increased by Rs 2.55 from Rs 198.25 to Rs 200.80.
In the open market, the buying price of dollar increased by Rs 2.50 from Rs 197.50 to Rs 200.00 and the selling price increased from Rs 198.50 to Rs 201.00.
According to the Forex report, the buying price of Euro increased by Rs 2.50 from Rs 210.50 to Rs 213.00 and the selling price increased from Rs 212.50 to Rs 215.00 while the buying price of British Pound increased by Rs 4.50 from Rs 245.50 to Rs 250.00. The rupee and the selling price increased by Rs 4 from Rs 248.50 to Rs 252.50.
