Karachi: Under the steadfast directives of Ms. Ismat Gul Khattak, Director General, Pakistan Standards
and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), the team of PSQCA cracked down against Illegal stock of
Non-License Products of Forvil Cosmetic Products. The operation was prompted by complaints received
by the Economic Journalist Forum, highlighting concerns about the quality of Forvil Cosmetics Products
in the market. The Team was headship by Mr. Sajid Mian Bhutto Dy. Director (CAK), PSQCA. The
crackdown launched on directions of Director, Conformity Assessment (South Zone), PSQCA Karachi
against illegal stockists/distributors/traders.


The Inspectors of the Authority targeted and investigated
several stockists, distributors, and traders, seizing substantial quantities of Forvil products in which 1:
M/s. M.K. Enterprises, North Nazimabad, Karachi, and found substantial stock of un-license different
brands Bio Amla Shampoo, Bio Amla Schet, Praima Hair Color (Black & Brown), Bio 7 Day Cream,
Bio Nikhar Cream Jar and Bio Nikhar Tube stocks and seized at the spot. During the crackdown M/s. 3B
Traders, Chanti Line, Karachi, found to keep the substantial stock of Bio Amla Shampoo and Bio SD
Shampoo stocks and seized at the spot. M/s. Qadri Traders, Main Joria Bazar, Karachi found to keep the
substantial stock of Seven Day Cream, Bio Amla Shampoo and Bio Amla Shampoo Sachet stocks and
seized at the spot. M/s. A.A. Traders, Medicine Market, Karachi also found to keep the substantial stock
of Bio Amla Shampoo and Bio Amla Shampoo Sachet stocks and seized at the spot. The above
stockists/distributors/traders were involved in illegal stock and sale of mandatory items, without having
CM License from PSQCA and therefore, these were seized as per PSQCA Act VI of 1996. Notices were
also issued to the Manufacturers and stockists for compliance. All Stocks of Non-License and Illegal
products were seized. Further actions will also be initiated as per law. The Deputy Director (CAK)
emphasized the authority’s relentless pursuit of adherence to established standards. He stated, “Our aim
is to guarantee the safety and satisfaction of consumers by eradicating substandard products from the
market”.
The Director General, PSQCA has said that strict measures will be taken against the makers of illegal
products and substandard items will not be tolerated in the market under the orders of the Federal
Government. No pressure will be accepted in this regard. He urged the officers to work honestly and
commended them.
