Karachi : The Consulate-General of Japan in Karachi, in collaboration with the Japan Karate
Association (JKA), will be hosting a four-day “JKA National Karate Training Camp 2024”
taking place from February 15th to February 18th at the Japan Information and Culture
Centre (JICC) in Karachi.
Karate, a globally revered martial art originating in Japan, has garnered significant
popularity in Pakistan, boasting an estimated 40,000 practitioners across the nation.
Distinguished Karate master Mr. SHIINA Katsutoshi, has graciously journeyed to Pakistan
to lead this workshop. With a notable rank of 8th Dan, Mr. SHIINA brings unparalleled
expertise and experience to enrich the participants’ learning experience.
[The levels are divided into “Kyu” and “Dan”, and the levels start from Kyu (10 to 1) to Dan (1 to 10)].
The four-day workshop is poised to provide beginners and other participants with a
platform not only to learn and refine their Karate prowess but also to delve into the
profound philosophy and ethos underpinning Japanese traditional martial arts. Attendees
will engage in rigorous training sessions and undergo evaluations for Kyu or Dan
advancements, fostering personal growth and skill development within Pakistan’s Karate
community.
