Connor Storrie may join Ryan Gosling in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ghost Rider film.

Connor Storrie is reportedly in talks to star alongside Ryan Gosling in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ghost Rider film. The potential casting would mark a major career opportunity for Storrie following his breakout performance in the hockey drama series Heated Rivalry.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, negotiations are underway for Storrie to join the superhero project. Shawn Levy is attached to direct, while Jonathan Tropper is writing the screenplay.

The film would reunite Levy and Gosling after their work on Star Wars: Starfighter.

In Marvel comics, Blaze becomes connected to a supernatural entity and transforms into a fiery figure with a flaming skull and a motorcycle engulfed in flames.

Storrie’s potential role remains undisclosed. Ghost Rider has faced several supernatural enemies in the comics, including Mephisto.

Previous film adaptations starring Nicolas Cage featured Mephisto and his son, Blackheart. Sacha Baron Cohen also portrayed Mephisto in the Disney+ series Ironheart.

Production Plans and Release Date

Production on Ghost Rider is reportedly expected to begin in New York next year. Cinematographer Linus Sandgren has also been linked to the project, which is expected to be shot on celluloid.

Marvel Studios announced the film at San Diego Comic-Con in July and set its theatrical release for July 28, 2028.

The reported production team includes Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Levy and Gosling as producers. Richie Palmer and Jessie Henderson are expected to serve as executive producers.

Connor Storrie’s Career Gains Momentum

Storrie rose to prominence in 2025 through Heated Rivalry, where he plays Russian hockey star Ilya Rozanov. The series helped raise his profile and opened opportunities for brand partnerships.

He also hosted Saturday Night Live, an appearance that earned him an Emmy nomination, according to the supplied report.

Storrie has completed filming a role in Sarah Polley’s adaptation of The Bell Jar. Joining Ghost Rider would potentially become another significant step in his growing screen career.

Marvel has yet to confirm Storrie’s casting or reveal the character he may play.
