Lahore: Friday, September 6, 2024. Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), hosted a solemn ceremony on Defense Day of Pakistan to pay tribute to the martyrs and war heroes of September 1965. The ceremony, held at CBD Punjab complex, was graced by the presence of Chief Operating Officer CBD Punjab Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua, as the chief guest. Senior officials and staff of CBD Punjab also participated in this significant occasion.
In his address at the ceremony, COO CBD Punjab Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua reflected on the historic significance of the September 1965 battle, highlighting the indomitable spirit of the Pakistani armed forces. He remarked, “Our martyrs and war heroes are the pride of our nation, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten. In 1965, our forces decisively thwarted the enemy’s malicious designs, sending a clear message to the world that any hostile advance towards Pakistan will be met with unwavering resolve.”
COO CBD Punjab, also commended the bravery and courage of the armed forces, emphasizing CBD Punjab’s steadfast support for the military and the nation. He affirmed, “CBD Punjab stands shoulder to shoulder with our armed forces, committed to strengthening our country’s defense capabilities. We honor our defenders today and every day”.
The ceremony served as a tribute to the defenders of Pakistan, reaffirming the nation’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
