Catwalk Event Management and Productions under the aegis of Catwalk Cares is hosting an extremely important conference: ‘Stop Child Abuse’ (Through Awareness and Commitment) on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 from 1:30 pm – 6.00pm at Avari Towers, Karachi
Ms. Rabiya Javeri Agha, Secretary, Ministry Human Rights will grace the event as the Chief Guest.
The underlying impetus of the conference is to raise awareness and shed light on the myriad types of abuse against children and to energize the populace to commit and find solutions to prevent abuse and protect children and their human rights.
Relevant topics that will be highlighted during the ‘Stop Child Abuse’ conference include Physical, Mental and Emotional Violence against Children; Child Sexual Abuse, Child Prostitution and Trafficking, Child Pornography/Cyber Crime; Child Labour; Child Domestic Violence; Child Marriage, Bullying and Corporal Punishment at Schools among other related topics.
The conference will include pertinent discussions and presentations related to the aforementioned topics and themes followed by Q&A sessions. A diverse assembly of recognized and prominent speakers will address these core issues.
Speakers include Manizeh Bano (Executive Director of Sahil), Sheena Hadi (Chung Foundation) Senator Javed Jabbar and barrister, a human rights lawyer, activist Hassan Niazi, singer, and educationalist Shehzad Roy.
In addition, proactive children’s rights advocates at the conference who will also offer panel conversations include film and TV actors Sheheryar Munawar, Ahsan Khan, Zhalay Sarhadi and Sarwat Gilani actor-director Angeline Malik; actor-producer Adnan Malik.; Rana Asif Habib (President Initiator Human Development Foundation), and Shaniera Akram (The Akram Foundation @ National Institute of Child Health)
