At The International Defense Exhibition In Saudi Arabia, The Pakistan Ordnance Factory Has Launched Its New Rifle ‘BW20’, Which Was Appreciated By The Arms Manufacturers Around The World.
The exhibition, which runs from March 6-9 in the Saudi capital Riyadh, is being attended by 600 arms manufacturers from more than 40 countries.
Among them, 13 companies from Pakistan including Global Industries and Defense Solutions, Heavy Industries Taxila and Pakistan Ordnance Factories set up their stalls.
Various technologies and devices related to air, land, sea and defense systems are being displayed in different pavilions of the exhibition.
The stalls of Pakistani armaments companies are the focus of the exhibition, with representatives from the Middle East, Europe, the United States and other countries expressing interest in purchasing Pakistani-made defense equipment.Explaining the details, Salman Ali Khan, Manager, Pakistan Ordnance Factory, said, “The BW20 is more important than the G3 rifle. It costs less and can be sold worldwide.
On the other hand, Asad Kamal, CEO of Global Industries and Defense Solutions, said, “Saudi Arabia is welcome to host this global exhibition where Pakistani armaments companies will be promoted.”
He added: “The Middle East is a big market, including Saudi Arabia, in which Pakistani companies are already well-known, but it will be more stable and our contacts with other countries of the world will also increase.”
Top Pakistani military officers are also visiting the Akistani stalls. Major General Arif Malik, Director General, Defense Export Promotion, also visited the stalls and appreciated the international exhibition in Saudi Arabia, saying, “Pakistan-made defense equipment is popular all over the world and such exhibitions open up new markets. ? ‘
Earlier, in the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the military contingent of the Saudi National Guard saluted while the Saudi military band also played beautiful melodies.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also visited the exhibition.
Saudi officials say the exhibition will be held every two years, organized by the kingdom’s General Authority for Military Industries.
