Honorable Member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, Lord Qurban Hussain visited COMSATS Secretariat today. Ambassador Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, Executive Director COMSATS warmly welcomed him.
Lord Hussain congratulated the Executive Director on his appointment. The Executive Director briefed the guest on the COMSATS’ functioning, which was aimed at benefiting its members in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation.
Briefing the honourable member of the House of Lords the Executive Director underlined the importance that COMSATS’ pursuit of progress in the field of Science and Technology will not just benefit the global south community but also the global efforts towards addressing the challenges facing the world community by and large. Lord Hussain expressed keen interest in COMSATS activities.
Lord Hussain is a Pakistan heritage British Liberal Democrat politician. He is a recipient of the Govt. of Pakistan Sitara-e-Quaid-e-Azam.
