London: A wheel of a British Airways plane fell off after takeoff. According to British media reports, a wheel fell off a British Airways plane while it was flying from Las Vegas to London Heathrow. The plane took off from New Adda Airport at 9:10 pm. According to media reports, despite the wheel falling off, the pilot continued the flight and landed safely in London 27 minutes ahead of schedule. The cause of the plane’s wheel collapse has not yet been revealed, and an investigation is ongoing. In the clip, the right rear wheel from the main landing gear separates from the aircraft and falls off, but the aircraft continues to fly. Flight Radar reported that there were no injuries on the ground in Las Vegas. The flight eventually made a “safe and uneventful landing” in London after flying for 9 hours and 17 minutes. In response to CNA’s questions about the incident, a British Airways spokesperson said that safety and security are at the heart of everything we do and we are assisting authorities with their investigation.
