Karachi, 2021: Entrepreneur and founder of ACF Animal Rescue animal welfare, Ayesha Chudrigar officially received the HUM Women Leaders Award 2021 at the President House in Islamabad on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021. Chundrigar won the award as one of the most influential women leaders in Pakistan alongside names such as Malala Yusufzai, Abida Parveen, General Nigar Johar, Hina Jilani, and Shahzadi Gulfam. The list of attendees included President Arif Alvi, Fehmida Mirza, Sanam Saeed, Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood, Umair Jaswal, and other dignitaries.
At the award ceremony, Ayesha Chundrigar was handed her award by Nabila and Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood. Chundrigar received the award primarily for her contributions to animal welfare in Pakistan. By developing the first and largest animal rescue service and sanctuary, she paves the way for people to get a better understanding of animals and guides them to develop a more compassionate attitude to how street animals are treated. Chundrigar and her team have been working tirelessly to provide the best possible care for animals and street pets across Karachi. ACF services include TNR/Rabies vaccination for dogs, donkey camps, wildlife rescues, and their latest initiative the ACF Mobile Clinic, which treats street animals for minor injuries.
The HUM Women Leaders Awards are held to acknowledge and honor the contributions and achievements of women who create impactful change through their respective fields. These women often represent hope, bravery, dedication and are an inspiration for others because of their contributions to society as a whole. It is an event where women from all walks of life are praised for their achievements within Pakistan and across the globe.
For the night, Ayesha Chundrigar opted for a pastel pink outfit by Ansab Jahangir. She paired it with elegant pearl earrings and a necklace to compliment her dress.
Ayesha Chundrigar continues to work with her animal rescue service to provide the best possible care for animals. With several upcoming projects in the pipeline, Chundrigar hopes to provide a safe space for all animals while promoting empathic education for the masses nationwide.
