Houston-TX: Attorney Nomaan Husain hosted an Iftar Dinner with members of the Muslim Community to honor the City of Houston Law Enforcement Officials at his residence.
The event featured Houston Police Chief Troy Finner, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg, Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee, Harris County Sheriff and recently appointed as the Director of Immigration and Neutralization Agency (ICE) Ed Gonzales, the first Pakistani Assistant Police Chief Yasir Bashir, County Attorney Fort Bend County Bridgette Smith-Lawson & others.
The officials highlighted the role of the Muslim Community in American Society in bringing unity & peace. They also loud the significance of Ramadan and Iftar dinner which promote interfaith harmony and Cultural diversity with peoples from different religions.
At the meet & Greet session President Houston Karachi Sister City Association Muhammad Saeed Sheikh along with former City Council Member M.J.Khan, President PAGH Haroon Sheikh, Dr Asim Shah, Dr Ashraf Abbasi, Attorney Omar Khawaja Congratulated Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on his appointment as the Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by Biden Administration. They also thanked Sheriff Gonzalez for his outstanding service to our community and wish him all the success of his new assignment.
