Karachi, IRNA — Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Hojjatoleslam Hamid Shahriari leading a delegation has arrived in southern city of Karachi on the eighth day of his visit to Pakistan.
Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Nourian and Kamran Pezeshki, the director of Iranian Culture Center, received Hamid Shahriari in Karachi. Hojjatoleslam Shahriari arrived in Karachi after staying in Islamabad and Lahore.
He is scheduled to meet today (Monday) with senior leaders of Islamic sects to discuss strengthening of ties, issues in the Islamic world, and promoting Islamic solidarity, especially between Muslim nations and neighboring Iran and Pakistan.
Attending conferences on Islamic unity, combating Islamophobia, visiting schools and major centers of Shiite and Sunni religious sciences will be other programs of Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
